The LUCET is an ancient needleworker's tool that has been used for centuries to make decorative or utilitarian cord. Each of our lucets is handmade of American hardwood and hand-finished. This tool is the perfect accessory for punchneedle. Use it to make decorative cord from matching floss or yarn to place around the border of your finished punchneedle work to hide the fabric edge and give a unique decorative touch to framing. Our lucet is an accurate reproduction of an historic lucet and can be used authentically at living history events by reenactors from Renaissance to the American Civil War.
Needle Cases will hold sewing, quilting, or embroidery needles (NOT punch needles). Each is turned hardwood with 24K gold plate trim. The tops screw on and off for easy and secure access to needles. The needle cases are approx. 3.25" long. The Needle Cases are offered on the basis of availability. As each is one of a kind, once that item is sold, it is no longer available and will be shortly removed from this site. If you saw an item that is no longer available, contact us. We may be able to make you one that is similiar - but never exactly the same.
Pin Cushions are turned on a lathe from hardwood and come with our choice of fabric and turning design. Pin Cushions are approx. 2" wide and 2.5" tall. The picture shown is a sample of one of our designs. All Pin Cushions will be similiar but
NOT EXACTLY the same.
Seam Rippers are turned from furniture quality hardwoods. Each is unique. If it ever becomes dull, the metal seam ripper is easily replaced in the turned handle with easily available seam rippers. Each has a protective cap. As each is one of a kind, once that item is sold, it is no longer available and it will be shortly removed from this site.
